Version 2026-11-04.1, in effect from November 4, 2026. Every version, and the current one, is on our legal page.
Terms of Service
Version 2026-11-04.1. Last updated: November 4, 2026. These terms apply from the day SAI's website opens to the public.
The short version (the full terms below are what count):
- SAI is an artificial intelligence, not a person. It can be wrong. Check anything important, and don't rely on it for medical, legal, financial or emergency decisions.
- You must be 18 or older.
- SAI is in early access. During early access your conversations may be saved and reviewed to make SAI better. Don't share passwords, card numbers, or anything you want kept private.
- Some things SAI will never help with (Section 6). Trying to get around its safety checks or limits can pause or end your access.
- If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (US) or your local emergency number. SAI is not an emergency service.

1. Who we are and agreeing to these terms
SAI is made and operated by Universal Network Development LLC, doing business as U.N.D Industries ("UND," "we," "us," "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Florida, United States. These Terms of Service cover SAI's website, web app, desktop app, voice features, memberships and any related service we provide under the SAI name (together, "SAI").
By using SAI, creating an account, signing in, installing the desktop app, or buying a membership, you agree to these terms, to the End User License Agreement ("EULA") for SAI's software, which is part of these terms, and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use SAI. If you use SAI for an organization, you confirm you are allowed to accept these terms for it.
2. SAI is an AI
SAI is an artificial intelligence system. When you talk with SAI you are not talking with a human, even when its replies sound natural or friendly. SAI's replies are generated automatically and can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong, including when they sound confident.
- Not professional advice. SAI can share general information, but it is not a doctor, lawyer, financial advisor, therapist or other professional, and nothing it says is professional advice. Talk to a qualified professional about your own situation.
- You decide. You are responsible for how you use SAI's replies, including checking facts before relying on them.
- What the web version can't do. Unless a feature says so (web search when you turn it on, Workspace rooms, reminders, Personalization and bringing back saved chats), SAI on the web does not browse the internet, keeps only the notes and recap described in our Privacy Policy, sees only the files you put in a room, and does not take actions in the world.
- Not suitable for everyone. SAI is built for adults and may not be suitable for minors.
3. Who can use SAI
You must be at least 18 years old to use SAI or buy a membership. By using SAI you confirm that you are. SAI is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. You may not use SAI where the law does not allow it, or if we have previously ended your access.
4. Accounts, sign-in and agreements
- Your account. You sign in with Google, Apple or a one-time code sent to your email. A membership is bought for the account you are signed in with and belongs to that account only; it cannot be transferred, shared or resold.
- You agree each time. Every time you sign in or create an account you agree to the version of these terms and the Privacy Policy shown at that moment, and we keep a dated record of each agreement. If we change them, we may ask you to agree again before you keep using SAI.
- Up to three browsers at once. An account can be signed in on up to three browsers or devices at the same time. Signing in on a fourth signs out the one you signed in on longest ago. Your limits are shared across them.
- Google sign-in. If you sign in with Google, Google's own terms also apply to your Google account.
- Keep it safe. You are responsible for activity on your account. Tell us at support@talktosai.com if you think someone else is using it, and we will help you secure it.
- Accurate information. Don't impersonate anyone or create accounts to get around a limit, a suspension or a ban.
5. Early access
SAI is in early access. That means:
- Features, limits and availability can change, and some parts of SAI are marked "coming soon." Membership benefits described as coming later are plans, not guarantees of a delivery date.
- Funding milestones and Founder perks. Features and perks described as unlocking at a funding milestone (for every member, and the extra perks for Founders, such as a Founder badge, founder pricing on renewal, early access to new features, a vote on what we build next, and the Developer plan) are delivered only if and when SAI reaches that milestone, and no delivery date is promised. The milestones and what each one unlocks are listed on the membership page. The access period you paid for does not depend on any milestone.
- The order SAI opens in. SAI opens to its testers first, then to paying members, then to free accounts. If you buy a membership before SAI opens to paying members, your purchase is confirmed and your membership is kept on your account, but your account is not active yet: you can sign in and see your membership and its status, and you can use SAI from the day it opens to paying members. Your membership's time starts that day: a 12-month membership bought early still gives you 12 months from the day SAI opens to paying members. Monthly memberships go on sale that day. We will email you when your account is active. Until then, you can ask for a full refund at any time by writing to support@talktosai.com. Testers and people we invite use SAI under the terms of their invitation.
- There may be errors, interruptions and lost conversations. Please keep your own copy of anything important.
- To make SAI better, your conversations may be saved and reviewed by our team, and used as described in Section 8 and our Privacy Policy. A private mode is planned; until it is available, do not share anything you want kept private.
- If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
6. Acceptable Use Policy
SAI will never help with, and you may not use SAI for:
- Weapons that can cause mass harm, including explosives and chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear weapons, or making or getting illegal weapons.
- Any sexual content involving minors, or anything that sexualizes, grooms or exploits a child. Any attempt is refused, pauses the account at once, and alerts our team.
- Violence, threats, stalking, harassment or intimidation of anyone, or planning or encouraging harm.
- Instructions or encouragement for suicide or self-harm (people in crisis get support instead; see Section 7).
- Making or getting illegal drugs, trafficking, fraud, scams, identity theft or other crimes.
- Malware, hacking into systems or accounts you do not own, or other cyberattacks.
- Hate or harassment against people for who they are, or sexually explicit content.
- Collecting, exposing or tracking another person's private information without their permission.
- Recording, capturing, streaming or publishing anyone on SAI without their consent (Section 9).
- Deceiving people in ways that harm them, including impersonating a real person.
You also may not:
- Try to get around SAI's safety checks, usage limits, spending limits or sign-in protections, including with "jailbreak" prompts, fake conversation history, or multiple accounts.
- Probe, scan, attack, overload, or reverse engineer SAI, or access it by any automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts) except as we allow in writing.
- Use SAI's replies to make decisions that significantly affect another person, such as about their credit, job, housing, insurance, education, legal matters or health care.
- Present SAI's replies as written by a person when they were not.
- Ask SAI for a picture of a real person without their permission, a sexual picture, a picture meant to deceive, harass or hurt anyone, or material for a political campaign or lobbying. SAI refuses such requests, and asking for them repeatedly may lead us to limit or end your access.
- Use pictures or voice from SAI to train or test other AI models, or remove the marks or information that show a picture is computer-made.
- Use friend requests, invite codes, your name, username or status mood to spam, harass, threaten or mislead people. Anyone can block you, and we may limit or remove Friends from an account that does.
- Use SAI or its replies to build, train, evaluate or improve a competing AI model or service.
- Resell, sublicense or share access to SAI, or present SAI as your own product.
- Use SAI in violation of any law, or to violate anyone else's rights, including their intellectual property and privacy.
7. Safety checks, crisis support and enforcement
- Automatic safety checks. Every message you send to SAI and every reply SAI writes is checked automatically before you see the reply. Requests in the categories in Section 6 are refused.
- Crisis support. If you tell SAI you are thinking about suicide or hurting yourself, SAI responds with care and points you to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline (call or text 988 in the US) or your local emergency number, and it will not give methods. SAI is not a crisis service and cannot contact anyone for you. If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
- Pauses and suspensions. Repeated attempts to get prohibited content pause an account for the rest of the day. Any attempt involving child sexual exploitation pauses it immediately. We may suspend or end accounts for any violation of these terms.
- Every mode, every plan. Safety checks and limits apply to every conversation, in any mode and on any membership.
- Alerts and the law. A message that appears to involve the sexual exploitation of a child also alerts our team. We respond to valid legal requests from law enforcement.
Automated checks are not perfect. We do not promise that every harmful reply will be caught or that every refusal is correct, and you remain responsible for how you use SAI.
8. Your content, SAI's replies, and how we use them
- Yours. As between you and us, you keep your rights in what you type or say to SAI ("Input"). To the extent the law allows, we assign to you our rights in SAI's replies to you ("Output"). Output may not be unique: SAI may give similar replies to other people, and those are not yours.
- Our license to operate and improve SAI. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, store, review, and use your Input and Output to provide SAI, keep it safe, enforce these terms, comply with the law, and improve SAI, which can include evaluating and training SAI's own models. We never sell your conversations and never use them for advertising.
- Your responsibility. You confirm you have the right to share your Input and that it does not break the law or anyone's rights. Do not put other people's private information into SAI.
- Voice. If you use voice, your audio is sent to be turned into text and SAI's replies are turned into speech. See the Privacy Policy for what is kept.
9. Friends, messages, calls and recording
These rules apply whenever you use Friends, messages, Workspace rooms, voice or video calls, screen sharing or recording on SAI. They are part of these terms, and you agree to them again before your first call.
- Who you can reach. You can message and call only people on your Friends list. Anyone can decline a call, end it, or block you at any time.
- Call minutes. Calls are not unlimited. Each membership comes with a monthly allowance of voice call minutes and of video call minutes (a minute with a camera or a screen share on is a video minute), shown with what is left in SAI under Settings > Usage. Only time on a connected call counts, and the allowance comes back on the first day of each month (UTC). When it runs out, a call in progress ends and a new one can start once the allowance is back. We tell you before we lower it.
- Workspace rooms. A room is shared with everyone in it: you are responsible for what you post, and the others can read and copy it. The person who started a room can remove anyone from it and can end it, which deletes everything in it for everyone. When you ask your SAI in a room, it answers you, in the room, where the others can read the answer. Code SAI writes is written by an AI: it can be wrong, insecure or unsuitable, and nothing it proposes is written until a person in the room applies it (or until you choose "Apply changes automatically" for your own SAI, which applies its changes for you). Review code before you use, deploy or rely on it; you are responsible for what you apply and run, and section 14 (Limitation of liability) applies. Files you add: only add files you have the right to share with the people in the room, and never secrets (passwords, keys, tokens) or other people's personal data. We may remove files or rooms that break these Terms. Copies: when you invite someone with "Give them their own copy", they get a copy of the files as they are at that moment, in a room they own; nothing they do changes yours.
- Screen sharing. Sharing your screen shows it, live, to the people on the call. You choose what to share, so close anything private first. Sharing is not recording: SAI does not keep what you share.
- Recording only with consent. The only recording allowed on SAI is through SAI's Record button. A recording starts only after every person in it has agreed on screen. In a call between two people, both must agree. If SAI offers group calls, anyone who does not agree is left out of the recording. Anyone may withdraw consent at any time; the recording of them stops, and in a call between two people what was recorded is discarded. Everyone on the call sees when a recording is on. A recording is saved only to the device of the person who asked for it; SAI does not keep a copy. SAI keeps a record of each request and each answer (who asked, who answered, when, and what they answered) as proof of consent, even if a conversation is later deleted.
- No recording or capture by any other means. You may not record, capture, screenshot, stream or otherwise copy a call, a shared screen, a message or any person on SAI by any other means, including screen-recording software, browser extensions, other apps or another device, unless every person captured has agreed. You may not publish or share a recording or capture of anyone without their consent.
- What SAI cannot prevent. SAI cannot technically stop another person from recording or copying what you show or say, for example with software on their own device or with a second camera. Other people can also keep, save or share the messages you send them. Do not show, say or send anything you would not want recorded or shared. We use safeguards such as consent records, watermarks that identify the viewer, and reporting, but we do not promise that they will prevent or detect every recording or copy.
- Your responsibility for recording laws. Laws in many places, including Florida and California, require the consent of everyone on a call before it is recorded. You are responsible for getting every consent and giving every notice the law requires wherever you and the other people are, and for anything you record, keep, publish or share. If you record or capture anyone in breach of these terms or the law, you, and not UND, are responsible, and Section 15 (Indemnity) applies.
- Streaming. If you broadcast SAI (for example with streaming software), you are responsible for what you broadcast. Other people may appear or be heard only if they have agreed, and you must keep your own and other people's private information off your stream.
- Verification. We may require you to verify your identity before you can use some features, such as calls or recording. Verification confirms only what it checks. It is not a promise about any user, and you remain responsible for whom you talk to and what you share.
- Conduct. Section 6 applies to every message and call. You also may not share intimate images of anyone without their consent, or threaten to; share anyone's private information; impersonate anyone; create a new account to get around a block, a limit or a suspension; or let anyone else use your account.
- Reports and enforcement. You can report a person from Friends or from a conversation, and any message in a Workspace room. We review reports at our discretion and are not required to act on every report. The person you report is not told who reported them. We may limit or remove features, suspend or end accounts, keep relevant records, and share information with law enforcement when the law requires it or to protect someone's safety.
- Other people. UND is not responsible for what other users say, send, share, record or do, on SAI or anywhere else. Your dealings with other users are between you and them.
- Not an emergency service. SAI calls cannot reach emergency services. If you or someone else is in danger, call 911 or your local emergency number.
10. Limits, memberships and payments
- Limits. Each account has usage limits set by its membership: one for each session (5 hours from when you start using SAI, including a spoken greeting) and one for each week (7 days from when you start), covering messages and voice together, and a context window (how much of one conversation SAI keeps in mind at once). SAI shows how much of each you have used, as a percentage, and when it resets. SAI also has limits for everyone together, which reset at midnight UTC, and no one account may use more than a share of them in a day. We may change limits, and a limit can be reached early if SAI's shared capacity runs out.
- Other models and their own usage. Some memberships also include models made by other companies (such as Anthropic's Claude and Google's Gemini). Each of these has its own usage, with its own limits, shown separately in Settings > Usage; using one never uses SAI's own usage. Which models a membership includes, and how much of each, can change, and a model may be unavailable at times; when one cannot answer, or the shared amount we set aside for it each day is used up, SAI answers on its own model and tells you.
- Auto. If you turn on Auto, SAI may choose which included model answers each message, using rules about the message (its length and the kind of task); no paid model is used to decide. You first agree to a short notice describing how Auto works, and we keep a dated record of that agreement. Every switch is shown in the chat. With "Ask me first", SAI asks before switching; with "Keep working", it switches and tells you. With "Keep going past a limit" on, when one usage runs out SAI may continue on another usage you have, and tells you. You can turn Auto and each setting off at any time in Settings.
- Long conversations. When a conversation gets long, SAI may compress the older part into short notes so it can keep going, and when you are close to your session or weekly limit it may write you a recap. Compressing and recaps use a small part of your usage (never counted as a message). Notes and recaps are written by SAI and can leave out details; check anything important.
- Founding members, and what every membership is. A "Founding member" (also called a "Founder") is a person who bought the Founder membership while we offered it: one of SAI's first members, with the access and perks that membership describes. Every membership, including Founder, is a purchase of access to a service and nothing more. Buying any membership does not give you any ownership, equity, shares, membership interest or other stake in Universal Network Development LLC, U.N.D Industries, SAI, or any of their assets, intellectual property, revenue or profits; no right to dividends, profit sharing, distributions, repayment or any financial return; and no right to direct or vote on how the company is run. A "vote on what we build next" is a non-binding poll about features. A membership is not an investment, a loan, a security or a donation. Words such as "founder", "founding member", "join from the start", "funding goal" and "funding milestone" describe being one of our first members and how we measure SAI's progress, not ownership.
- Memberships. The price, what is included, and whether it renews are shown before you pay. Payments are handled by our payment processor, Stripe; we never see or store your full card number. By paying you authorize the charge shown.
- Renewals and cancelling. When you buy a monthly membership you choose whether it renews automatically; the price and how often you are charged are shown before you pay. If renewal is on, your card is charged the monthly price on the same date each month until you turn renewal off. You can turn renewal off, cancel, update your card or see your invoices online at any time in SAI under Settings > Plan and billing ("Manage billing"); cancelling stops renewal at the end of the period you already paid for. Each year we email you a reminder of your renewal, its price and how to cancel. A one-time membership (such as Founder) does not renew. You can also write to billing@talktosai.com.
- Refunds. Refunds follow the Refund Policy, except where the law gives you more.
- Referrals. A member can share a personal referral code. When you are referred:
- you get the discount shown when you enter the code, on your first payment only, and only on the memberships the page shows it for (today: 20% off Pro+ and up). You must enter the code yourself, signed in, and buy within 7 days of entering it; after that the code no longer applies;
- the discount is for new members only: an account that has already paid for SAI cannot use one, and you cannot use your own code.
- Price changes. We may change prices for future periods. If the price of a membership you have goes up, we will tell you at least 30 days before, the new price starts at your next renewal, and you can turn renewal off or cancel before then. Taxes that apply where you live may be added.
11. Our property
SAI, including its software, models, prompts, design, look and feel, the SAI name and marks, and the U.N.D Industries name and logo, belongs to UND or its licensors and is protected by copyright, trademark, trade secret and other laws. We give you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use SAI under these terms; your license to SAI's software, in the web app and the desktop app, is set out in full in the End User License Agreement. Your membership and the software are licensed to you, not sold: nothing in these terms or in any purchase transfers ownership of SAI or any part of it to you, and we keep every right we do not expressly give you. You may not copy, clone, mirror, frame, modify, or reverse engineer SAI, or use our names or marks without our written permission. For copyright complaints, see the U.N.D Industries DMCA Policy.
12. Services we rely on
SAI runs on services from other companies, including Cloudflare (hosting, security, and the AI models that power SAI's replies, safety checks and voice), Stripe (payments), our email provider (to send sign-in codes and receipts), and, if you use it, Google sign-in. They are independent companies with their own terms. We are not responsible for their services, and an outage on their side can make SAI unavailable.
The models behind SAI. SAI's replies are written by Anthropic's Claude Haiku. When you keep everything with SAI, where Anthropic does not offer its service, or when it is unavailable, SAI's own model answers: Mistral Small 3.1 from Mistral AI (Apache License 2.0). Built with Llama: SAI's chat titles and its safety checks use Meta's Llama 3.2 and Llama Guard 3 models, licensed under the Llama Community License (Copyright © Meta Platforms, Inc. All Rights Reserved). Mistral and the Llama models are run for us by Cloudflare. SAI hears what you say with OpenAI's Whisper model (MIT License). SAI's spoken replies use Deepgram's Aura voice, a computer-made voice, not a person. Pictures you ask SAI to make are drawn by FLUX.1 [schnell] from Black Forest Labs (Apache License 2.0) and are computer-made. These are also run for us by Cloudflare.
Other companies' models. When a message goes to a model made by another company (Anthropic's Claude models or Google's Gemini models), that company's usage policies also apply to what you send, and you agree to follow them. SAI sends that company only what Section 4 of our Privacy Policy describes. When Claude Haiku answers as SAI, the reply you see is its answer. When you pick another company's model for a message, SAI writes the reply you see from that model's answer. Either way, the warnings in Section 2 apply to every reply in full.
13. No warranties
SAI is provided "as is" and "as available," with all faults, and without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, and quiet enjoyment. We do not promise that SAI will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free or accurate, that any reply is correct or safe to rely on, or that any problem will be fixed. Some places do not allow some of these exclusions, so some may not apply to you.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, UND and its members, managers, employees, contractors and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for any lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill or other intangible losses, arising out of or related to SAI or these terms, however caused, and whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability or any other theory, even if we were told they were possible. Our total liability for all claims arising out of or related to SAI or these terms, including claims based on our own negligence, will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for SAI in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars (US $100). These limits do not apply to liability that the law does not allow to be limited, including liability for our gross negligence or willful misconduct.
The companies whose services and models SAI uses (Section 12) may rely on Sections 13 and 14 as if they were written for them.
15. Indemnity
To the extent the law allows, you will defend, indemnify and hold harmless UND and its members, managers, employees, contractors and agents from claims, losses, damages, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of your use of SAI, your Input, your use of SAI's replies, anything you record, capture, publish or share of another person, your dealings with other users, or your breach of these terms or of any law or anyone's rights.
16. Suspension and ending your access
You can stop using SAI at any time. We may pause, suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if we believe you broke these terms, created risk or legal exposure for us or others, or if we stop offering SAI or early access. If we end a paid membership without cause, we will refund the unused part of the period you paid for. If we end it because you broke these terms, no refund is owed unless the law requires one. Sections that by their nature should continue (including 8, 9, 11, and 13 through 20) continue after your access ends.
If we stop offering SAI. Unless something outside our control prevents it, we will tell you at least 30 days before SAI or a paid membership stops being offered, and we will refund the unused part of any period you paid for.
If you think we got it wrong. If your account was paused, suspended or ended and you believe it was a mistake, email support@talktosai.com. A person on our team will review it and reply.
17. Disputes and governing law
Talk to us first. Before starting any formal claim, you agree to email contact@talktosai.com with a description of the dispute, and we will both try in good faith to resolve it for at least sixty (60) days. The time either of us has to bring a claim is paused during those sixty (60) days.
Courts and law. These terms and any dispute about SAI are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute not resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state courts located in Orange County, Florida, or in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida, Orlando Division, and you and we consent to their jurisdiction and venue. To the extent the law allows, claims must be brought individually, and not as a plaintiff or class member in a class, consolidated or representative action. To the extent the law allows, you and we each give up the right to a trial by jury for any dispute about SAI. If either of these two sentences cannot be enforced for a claim, it is removed for that claim and the other still applies.
Your right to speak and to complain. Nothing in these terms limits your right to write an honest review of SAI, to complain to a government agency, or to report anything to the authorities.
18. General terms
- Whole agreement. These terms, the End User License Agreement and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about SAI. Every earlier version of each stays published on our legal page, with the date each applied.
- How to read our everyday words. On our website, in emails, in ads and inside SAI we use everyday words such as "founder", "founding member", "patron", "back", "support", "join us", "together", "community", "funding goal" and "milestone" to describe memberships and SAI's progress. They are not legal promises of ownership, investment, a financial return, partnership, employment, agency or control of the company. If anything SAI, our website or our marketing says differs from these terms, these terms control. Headings are for convenience only.
- Severability. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, that part is limited or removed as little as needed, and the rest stays in effect.
- No waiver. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of our right to enforce it later.
- Assignment. You may not transfer these terms. We may transfer them, including in a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
- Events outside our control. We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including outages of the services SAI relies on, attacks, and government action.
- Export and sanctions. You may not use SAI where US export controls or sanctions forbid it.
19. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the "Last updated" date. For an important change we will tell you in SAI or by email at least 30 days before it takes effect, unless it is needed sooner for legal, safety, security or fraud reasons; a price change follows Section 10. When these terms or the Privacy Policy change, SAI asks you to read and agree to the new version before you can keep using it, on every device you use, and we keep a dated record of your agreement.
