1. Who we are

SAI is operated by Universal Network Development LLC, doing business as U.N.D Industries ("UND," "we," "us," "our"), a limited liability company organized under the laws of the State of Florida, United States. We decide how the information described here is used. This policy covers SAI's website, web app, voice features and memberships. Our Terms of Service also apply.

2. What we collect

KindWhat it isWhere it comes from
Account and sign-inIf you sign in with Google or Apple: the account ID they give us, and your name and email if you allow it. If you sign in with email: your email address. Which membership your account has, which purchase it came from, and a dated record of every time you agreed to our Terms of Service and this policy (each sign-in and sign-up), of the purchase confirmation you ticked before paying, and of your optional choices. You, Google or Apple
ProfileThe name SAI greets you by, your username, what you told us you want help with (optional), and your optional choices (news emails, early feature invitations, being contacted about feedback), which are off unless you turn them on. If you fill in Settings > Personalization (what SAI calls you, what to know about you, how to answer), that too, and it is given to the AI with your messages so it can answer that way. You can change all of it in Settings. If you pick a name colour (Settings > Personalization), it is kept with your preferences and shown with your name to the people in your rooms. You
FriendsIf you use Friends (members only): who is on your list, the requests you sent or received, and who you blocked; invite codes you make (we keep only a scrambled copy, never the code itself); and the status and optional mood line you choose. Whether you have SAI open right now is known only for a few minutes, in memory, and is never saved: we keep no "last seen" time. Your friends see your username, name, status and mood; people with a pending request or who are blocked do not see your status, and "Appear offline" shows you as offline to everyone. You
Messages and callsIf you message or call a friend (members only): the messages you send and receive, kept for you and for your friend (each of you has your own copy; deleting yours does not delete theirs), and a note of each call (voice or video, when, how long, and whether it was answered, declined or missed). Call audio and video go directly between your browser and your friend's and are not stored by SAI. A direct connection means your friend's browser can see your IP address, and yours theirs, as with most video calling. If a direct connection is not possible, the call is relayed through Cloudflare, encrypted, and is not stored. Your agreement to the calls rules is kept with the time, the words you agreed to, your IP address and your browser, as for every agreement (see Section 7).You, your friends
ReferralsIf you share or use a referral code: your code; which account entered which code and when; whether that account's first payment qualified, was kept, refunded or disputed; the reward given or taken back; and, to stop people referring themselves, a fingerprint of each card used to pay for SAI, which Stripe gives us (never the card number). The person who referred you sees only how many friends joined, never who. You, Stripe
Recording consentIf anyone asks to record a call you are on: each request and each answer (who asked, who agreed or said no, when, and whether a recording was saved or thrown away), kept for both people as proof of consent, even if a conversation is later deleted. A recording is saved only on the device of the person who asked for it, never by SAI.You, the other person
ReportsIf you report someone: your username, theirs, the reason you chose and any words you add. It is sent to the SAI team to review. The person you report is not told who reported them. You
Watermarks on callsDuring a call, your own username is shown faintly over what you see, so that a recording of your screen shows whose screen it was. It is shown on your device only and is not stored.SAI
ConversationsWhat you type or say to SAI and what SAI replies. During early access these may be saved and reviewed (see Section 3). If you send a message to another company's model, part of it is sent as Section 4 describes. If the chats saved on your device are lost (for example in a new browser), you can bring back the conversations SAI saved for you in Settings > Data and privacy; they are copied only to your own device. You
VoiceIf you use voice: the audio of what you say is sent to be turned into text, and SAI's reply text is turned into speech. We do not keep the audio. On a device that can, SAI's natural voice is made on the device itself: the reply text never leaves it, and the voice files it downloads once stay in your browser until you delete them (Settings > Data and privacy). You
Proof of agreements and purchasesEach time you agree to our terms or tick the box before paying: the date and time, the IP address and the browser or device you used, the page you were on, the exact words of the box you ticked, and a fingerprint (a checksum) of each document version you agreed to. When you pay: the amount, the payment method, and what Stripe tells us to confirm it was you: the card brand, its last 4 digits and country, Stripe's card fingerprint, whether the security code, ZIP code and your bank's check (3D Secure) passed, Stripe's fraud-risk level, the name on the payment, and the receipt and charge numbers. We never receive or keep your full card number or security code. You, your device and Stripe
Membership and paymentYour email, the plan you chose, the amount, dates, and the payment status. The name and billing address you give Stripe are kept by Stripe. We never receive your full card number. You and Stripe
Usage and safetyHow much you used in your current 5-hour session and 7-day week (messages, voice replies and recordings turned into text, and their estimated cost), your share of SAI's capacity today, and a record when a message is blocked by our safety checks (the category).Created as you use SAI
TechnicalYour IP address and the requests your browser makes, which Cloudflare handles to deliver and protect SAI. For sign-in protection we keep only a scrambled version of your IP address, for at most one day.Your device
RemindersWhen you ask SAI to remind you of something (for example "remind me tomorrow at 9 AM to call the bank"): the words you asked to be reminded of, encrypted where we store them; the day and time, and your time zone; when you set it; and whether it was sent and how (a notification, an email). The notification on your lock screen shows the words only if you allow words in alerts; the email to your account address includes them, because you asked for the reminder. You
Notes SAI keepsOnly if you turn notes on (Settings > Personalization, or Yes on the card SAI shows the first time): up to 12 short facts you asked SAI to remember across chats ("remember that ..."), kept with your Personalization settings. Notes go with your messages to SAI's main brain (Anthropic's Claude Haiku, see section 4) so SAI remembers them; they are not sent to a model you pick in the model menu. You can see and delete each one.You
Profile pictureOnly if you add one (Settings > Account): one square picture. Your device redraws it before it is sent, so nothing hidden in the original file (such as where a photo was taken) is kept. It is stored privately and shown only to you and your friends, in Messages, Workspace rooms and calls; it is never sent to SAI's brain or any AI model. Remove it any time in Settings. You
NotificationsIf you turn notifications on for a device (members only): that device's push address (a web address your browser's push service gives it, from Google, Mozilla, Microsoft or Apple) and when you added it; your alert settings (which alerts you want, quiet hours and your time zone, favorites and muted friends); and alerts waiting for your devices (who called or wrote and the kind of call, or which of your rooms has a call starting, and the words of a message only if you chose to see them in alerts). Your ringtones, volume and vibration stay in your browser. A device gets notifications for one account only: the account signed in on it now.You
SAI in a callIf someone in a call adds SAI and everyone in the call allows it, SAI hears the call until it is removed or the call ends, and answers when someone says its name. What SAI hears is handled like a conversation with SAI for the person who added it. We keep a note in both chats that SAI was asked, allowed, not allowed, or left. Nothing of the call's sound is stored. You, the people in the call
Workspace roomsWhen you start or join a room (members only, with friends): the room's name, who is in it and who was invited; the messages written in the room chat; the project's files and their history (each change: which file, who made it or whose SAI made it, who applied it, when, and the text before and after, so a change can be undone); the changes SAI proposes until someone applies or discards them; and the room's SAI work area: what each member asks their own SAI there and what it answers. The room also keeps a call log in its history: who started each call in the room, whether it was voice or video, who joined, and how long it lasted. Only people in the room can see it; the SAI team sees it only as this policy describes (reports, messages our safety checks flag, security and legal requests). When you ask your SAI in a room, your request and the files it needs are handled like any message to SAI (the same safety checks on what you ask and on what SAI answers, counted in your usage) but are not saved into your own conversations; only a message our safety checks flag is kept, as for every message. Your SAI uses none of your private notes or settings in a room. If you report a message, it goes to the SAI team with the reason you chose; the person is not told who reported it. Calls in a room (voice, video and screen sharing with the people in it) go straight between your browsers, like calls between friends; SAI passes only the messages that connect you and never records or stores the call's audio or video; the call log is the only record kept of a room call. You, the people in the room
Pictures you ask SAI to makeWhat you ask for is checked by SAI's safety check, then sent to Cloudflare's AI service (the same one that runs SAI's own model) to make the picture. The picture comes back to you and is kept only in your Library on your own device. We keep a count of how many pictures you made this month and today, to apply your plan's limits; we do not keep the picture or your request. You
Files in MessagesIf you send a file to a friend (members only, when this is switched on): the file, its name, type and size, kept in private storage that only you and that friend can open. Deleting your account deletes the files you sent; your friend keeps the message that a file was sent. You
CreditsWhen you earn or use SAI credits (for staying active, sending feedback, check-ins, or with a plan): a record of each change, with the amount, the reason and the time. Credits have no cash value.Created as you use SAI
Connected accounts and your own toolsIf you connect an account of yours (for example UND Assay) or make a SAI key for your own tools: which account you connected and when, the key that account gave SAI (kept encrypted), and for each SAI key its name, when it was made and last used, and a fingerprint of it (the key itself is shown to you once and never kept). Section 4 says what happens when SAI uses them. You
Problem reportsOnly if you turn them on (a one-time question, or Settings > Data and privacy): when something on the page breaks, the error message (email addresses removed), the script file and line, and the page; after each call, how it went: whether it connected, how long, whether it went through our relay, how it ended, reconnects, and sound quality numbers (lost sound packets, delay, seconds of silence, microphone pauses); in live talk, each time SAI speaks, how loud SAI's own voice came back through your microphone, how loud you were, and whether SAI stopped when you talked (sound levels only). Also your browser type, your system and whether it is a phone. Never your words, audio, video, contacts or device names. Kept 30 days, linked to your account only by a scrambled reference.Your device
Messages to usAnything you send to our support or other email addresses, and any report you send from inside SAI with Report a problem or Report this reply: what you wrote, your username and the email on your account (so we can reply), the page you were on, and the reply you reported if you reported one.You

Please do not put passwords, card numbers, government ID numbers, health details or other sensitive information into SAI.

3. How we use it

We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.

4. Who helps us run SAI

We share information only with companies that help us run SAI, only as needed for what they do for us, and under their own privacy terms:

We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety, to protect our rights, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of our business (the new owner would have to respect this policy). We will update this policy before we add a new kind of service that receives your personal information.

5. On your device (cookies and storage)

SAI stores a few things in your browser so it works, and nothing for advertising or cross-site tracking:

When you arrive from a link we posted ourselves (it ends in ?from= and a name such as linkedin), your browser tells SAI that name once. We count how many visits each of our links brought each day, and nothing else: not who you are, not your address, and no cookie.

Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies to protect SAI from attacks. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. Signing out removes what SAI stored in your browser except your locked chats, which stay unreadable until you sign in again; clearing this site's data in your browser removes everything, including your chats.

6. Do Not Track and tracking by others

SAI does not track you across other websites, so it treats every visitor the same whether or not your browser sends a "Do Not Track" signal. We do not allow advertising networks or other third parties to collect information about your activity on SAI over time and across websites. Google receives the standard technical details of your browser's requests when it loads our fonts or its sign-in button, and Apple does the same for its sign-in button.

No calls or texts, and no voiceprints. SAI contacts you only by email. We never call you or send you text messages. When you talk to SAI, your voice is turned into text to answer you and the audio is not kept; we do not create a voiceprint or use your voice to identify you.

7. How long we keep it

We may keep information longer when the law requires it or to resolve a dispute.

8. Security and breaches

We protect your information with encryption in transit (HTTPS), signed sign-in sessions, scrambled IP addresses, strict security settings on every page, and access limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot promise that your information will never be accessed without permission. If a breach affects your personal information, we will tell you without unreasonable delay and within the time the law requires (for Florida residents, no later than 30 days).

9. Your choices and rights

Some information we must keep for legal, tax, safety or fraud-prevention reasons, even if you ask us to delete it.

10. Safety and the law

Every message you send to SAI and every reply SAI writes is checked automatically by safety models. When someone tells SAI they are thinking about hurting themselves, SAI points them to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. A message that appears to involve the sexual exploitation of a child is refused, the account is paused at once, and our team is alerted. We respond to valid legal requests from authorities.

11. Children

SAI is only for people 18 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has used SAI, tell us at support@talktosai.com and we will delete their information.

12. Where your data is processed

We are in the United States. The companies that help us run SAI may process information in the United States and other countries, which may have different data protection laws from yours. By using SAI you understand your information will be processed there.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. We will change the "Last updated" date, and for important changes, including any new use of your conversations, we will tell you in SAI or by email before the change applies to information we already have.

Version 2026-11-03.3 (November 3, 2026): section 5 now lists four things a tab keeps until it is closed: the conversation on screen, the screen you were on, the call you are in, and what you typed but did not send. Nothing new is collected and nothing new leaves your device, so you do not need to agree again. Every earlier version is on our legal page.
